Acts of Anglophiles.
I'm bothered.
Why, are some people always in some endless pursuit of looking and acting Anglicised?
As in, take pride in and relish the fact that some one asked if they or he or she or it is Eurasian. Why do some foolish people out there choose to think it is complimentary to tell someone they look Eurasian? Or perhaps they were genuinely wondering?
No transvestite is going to jump for joy if someone asks her (or it, or is a he?)if she (or it, or he?) is female.
Or maybe she, it or he might.
When you try so hard to look like the genuine product and someone still has to question its authenticity, you know you ain't making it! If you can't make it, don't fake it!
Wait.
Well, they always do say you can fake it till you make it.... sooo, I guess, keep trying la.
Anyway.
I suppose Eurasians are always associated with a certain shade of skin colour, hair, and features, but I think taking pride in it is senseless.
Then, there's publicizing it. The compliment I mean.
Maybe it's a hidden way of letting people know that you are apparently good-looking in someone's eyes. Apparently. That is, if you take their confusion for compliment la.
But that only makes people scrutinise your face and wonder what on earth kind of influence the person from whom this supposed compliment originated from was under.
Ho hum.
Oh well...
We are all secretly desiring to be ang-moh anyway.
When you have it, you cannot help but flaunt it. Even if its just from time to time.
Yes, society as a whole is obsessed with looking better, I mean just look at my previous blog posts and you will know how much I obsess about my weight etc.
In truth, my desire to look good, is just the same as everyone else's. To appear attractive (however superficially) and to get somewhere.
Mine has to do more with the getting some where than anything else.
I mean beyond M, I don't see or feel the need to attract anyone else.
I've been talking about "getting somewhere" for such a long time, that it may seem that I just talk about it.
But some things take time.
:)
I'm taking my time in moderate dosages. So you can be sure, something is happening somewhere you can't see.
Stay tuned!
hyuck, hyuck, hycuk!!!!!!
That's all folks!
